Pearl Academy sets the pace with installation at Kala Ghoda Festival 2018
Mumbai, 5th Feb 2018: Continuing its association with Mumbai’s Kala Ghoda Festival 2018 as the Design Partner, Pearl Academy has created a grand installation based on this year’s theme “Sustainability”. The creative minds at Pearl Academy have represented the theme through a horse built inside a globe to create awareness about preserving nature. The installation depicts the five elements through the Platonic solids – Tetrahedron (Fire-Agni), Cube (Earth-Prithvi), Octahedron (Air-Vayu), Icosahaedron (Water-Jal) and Dodecahedron (the realms of space-Akash).
The festival which got underway today features some 55 installations, a series of creative workshops and a plethora of performances by artists from across India. Speaking about the festival, Ruchita Verma, Director Mumbai Centre, said: “This year’s Kala Ghoda Festival turned out to be a great opportunity for Pearl Academy students and faculty members to showcase their stunning installation around the theme ‘Sustainability’. The concepts displayed by them are a clear example of their creative skills and we are happy to provide such a platform to them to exhibit their talent to the wider world.”
Nandita Abraham, CEO, Pearl Academy, said: “Pearl Academy has dedicatedly shown its commitment towards taking creativity as well as community. Events such as Kala Ghoda are excellent platforms to address on-going challenges faced by society. I believe this year’s theme is a very important initiative. It is a matter of pride that our students use their creative talents to spread awareness about the environment and the need to sustain it.”
