History:

Peren was announced as a full-fledged Revenue region on January 24, 2004, along with Shri. Micah Lomi as the first Deputy Commissioner, with an area of ​​1799 Sq Kms with a population of 94,954 and a population of 41 per square Km. There are 7 Administrative Hqrs, 4 (four) Rural Development Blocks and 86 Villages and 21 settlements. The Regional Headquarters was relocated to this area on 2 January 2015, by Shri. Peter Lichamo DC, Peren, and ten other HoDs and representatives on the first day of office in the new district headquarters in Peren.
