History:
Ranga Reddy District (abbr. R. R .; district formerly Hyderabad Rural) is a district in the Indian state of Telangana. Rangareddy County was established on 15 August 1978 by carving part of the town of Hyderabad taluk. In the first phase, the district's name was Hyderabad (Rural). It was later transformed into the Konda Venkata Rangareddy region and the Rangareddy region. It was named after the doyen freedom fighter and the late Deputy Prime Minister of Andhra pradesh K.V. Rangareddi
