As you stroll through the lush green forests and birds chirping in the cool rocky outcrops of Shivalinga in the background, you will admire Tezu's natural beauty. This beauty is full of chaos during Makar's crank ceremony in January. There is a big festival organized at this time by the Mishmi people called the Tamladu festival. The Mishmi tribe is known as one of the oldest, dating to the Mahabharat period. The people are again immersed in the sacred waters of Parshuram Kund in the belief that all their sins are washed away in this process and the people again indulge in the delightful knife that takes place at this time around the Kund. Famous for its natural beauty, hikers can enjoy hiking, mountaineering, and rafting on the Tezu River as well. There are also hiking trails from Tezu to a bright one-day lake, hiking, river rafting, and angling on the Lohit River. Tezu is a small but beautiful tourist destination worth a visit. You will be amazed at some of the unique things you can do and places to explore in this hidden area. You may wish to visit it again someday, to take a break and relax in Tezu.
