Paddy Fields, a rainforest with bamboo forests and the beautiful Subansiri River flowing through the town, Daporijo is a small town on the road from Ziro to Along. Daporijo is a picturesque town located some 1,600 feet [600 m] above sea level in the northeastern suburb of Subansiri in the Arunachal Pradesh region. Daporijo is usually a beautiful city where you can stop on the way from Along to Ziro for a vacation, otherwise, the city has little to offer its guests. The village is known for its ethnic diversity in one place. The Subansiri River (a tributary of Brahmaputra) offers a panoramic view that flows through the vicinity of the city. This is a home for people of different nationalities like Tagin, Galo, Hilmiri, etc. One of the oldest is the Mishmi, believed to have existed since the time of the Mahabharata. Various tribes in one area enrich a town that celebrates many local festivals. Bamboo handicrafts and colorful clothing are some of the special things that make this place special. Daporijo is famous for its handicrafts, especially bamboo, made by tribal people. December to February will be the best time to plan a visit to Daporijo. During storms, the weather is always humid, and it is always very hot in summer.
