Chandel, also known as Lamka, is small, but it is a beautiful region in the northeastern province of Manipur. It is one of the nine main provinces in the province and the second most populous. Located near the international border that separates India from Myanmar, it is now known as Gateway to Myanmar. It is 64 miles from Imphal, and the NH-39 is passing through. It is famous for being home to more than 20 indigenous peoples. Chandel is a cultural genius, given the large number of ethnic groups living here. Each nation offers a unique identity in the area, where the colors of their culture are striking in all directions. Travelers visiting Chandel can immerse themselves in artistic forms as well as colorful music and dance. After being reorganized, Chandel now has four stages; Chandel Town, Tengnoupal, Chakpikarong, and March.
