Joshimath Kagbhusandi Tal Kankul Pass Trek Sightseeing

Located on the lap of Hatipalbat (6730m) in the Garwar Himalayas in the Chamori district, the Kagubu Sandy Valley is a beautiful elongated lake adorned with emerald waters. Located at an altitude of 5,230 m near the Kankul Pass, the lake is about 1 km long and is full of wildflowers during the season. This amazing hiking trail begins in the famous Valley of Flowers and turns east of the village of Biander. From dense colorful pine and maple forests to pristine glaciers and bubbling streams, this trek is a fascinating experience. In addition to the magnificent lake, two huge rocks called crows (Kaga) and eagles (Garuda) on the cape of Haati Palbat are another attraction of trekking. Hanging from the rocks are some folk tales that locals believe include a lively conversation between crows and Garuda about the situation in space. There are a few other myths. According to one of them, the Brahmin learned by Ayodhya was transformed into a crow by the sage after suffering the wrath of the sage Lomas. Some of these mysterious stories make this hike even more appealing. Blessed with lush beauty, these unexplored trails are perfect for those seeking tranquility and isolation from the hustle and bustle of the city.
