In more recent times, it has been renamed 'Yadavindra Garden' in memory of Maharaja Yadavindra Singh of the former princely district of Patiala. After it was originally built by Fidai Khan, the garden was remodeled by Yadevendra Singh and restored to its original condition, as it has grown into a wild forest after construction due to years of neglect.
