jodhpur

Jodhpur is the second largest city in Rajasthan and the former capital of the Marwar region. It is known as the "Green City" as it looks completely blue when viewed from the air because of the blue walls and houses. Jodhpur is famous for its temples, lakes, and light food, and the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort is a major attraction. The magic of Jodhpur lies in the streets of the old city itself, surrounded by the mighty Mehrangarh. Hundreds of shops, guesthouses, restaurants, and vendors make it a tropical town, especially near the historic clock tower and Sardar Market. The new and modern Jodhpur lies beyond Mehrangarh. The nearby Jaswant Tada and the Umaid Bhawan Palace are also among the top attractions in Jodhpur. Jodhpur is famous for its delicious food, especially Pyaaj Kachori, Mirchi Bada, and Mawa Kachori. In September, the city hosted the colorful Marwar Festival and the Rajasthan International Festival. One of the most impressive temples in India, where the Royal Enfield motorcycle is worshiped, is nearby and is worth a visit. The ancient Thar desert city of Osian is also located here, about 40 miles [65 km] north of Jodhpur. Seen behind the movies, the famous Dark Knight Rises, Jodhpur attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists from all over the world. In addition, it is easily located in the center of Rajasthan, making it a base for sightseeing.
