Ranthambore Fort, built in the 10th century, is taller than the rest of the National Park. Built by the Chauhan Dynasty, the Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located inside the castle is the beautiful temple of King Ganesha, the Temple of Trinetra Ganesh. Ganesha devotees assembled the temple year-round. Two other temples were dedicated to Lord Shiva and Ramlalaji respectively. Two Jain temples, dedicated to Lord Sumatinath and Lord Sambhavnath are some of the attractions of the Fort. This is one of the best tiger reserves in the country, known for having “friendly” tigers, and the chances of seeing one here are much better than in many other tiger reserves in India. Along with this Ranthambore has one of the richest flora and fauna making it a must-visit in the suburbs of Vindhya and Aravali Hills, Ranthambore is famous for its tiger reserves and a variety of flora and fauna. Ranthambore National Park, as well as Ranthambore Fort and the surrounding hills and valleys, make Ranthambore a thrill for travelers.
