Almora

Almora is famous for its beautiful scenery with a calm atmosphere. It is also very famous because the city's cultural heritage is very high. Almora could be one of the best views of the snow-capped Himalayas. Even if you're wandering around in a summer resort, you can easily capture unobstructed mountain range views. Small towns are unaware of the beauty of their surroundings, but for nature-loving city dwellers, it's easy to see how beautiful a summer resort is. Almora's pockets are full of religious temples. The most notable of them are Casal and Nanda Devi Mandir. These temples give visitors a sense of positive energy and calm. In particular, Casar Devi Mandir is at a magnificent altitude of 2,116 meters above sea level and offers spectacular views of the valley. It's a great place to meditate, and for the same reason, Swami Vivekananda also visited it in the 1890s. You can't leave Almora without a walk through the Binzer Wildlife Sanctuary, which is 2420 meters above sea level. Being on a hill, you'll have to hike uphill for stunning views, but it's worth the climb. This place is really a bird-watching paradise. There are more than 200 species of birds here and you can hear many birds singing to you.
