Champawat
Champawat is famous for its ancient temples that have been built here for many years. Some of the sacred Hindu shrines of Champawat are the Baleshwar Temple, the Nagunas Temple, and the Kranteshwar Temple, showing their amazing architecture. The Kranteshwar Mahadev Temple is the sacred shrine of Lord Shiva on the eastern high hills of the city of Champawat. The temple is named after the shrines of Sir Kandef and Sir Kurmapad. Ek Hathiya Ka Naula is a stone structure with intricate stone carvings. This location is about 5 km from Champawat. Reetha Sahib, also known as Meetha Reetha Sahib, is located in a small settlement called Dyuri in the Champawat district of Uttarakhand. The capital of Champawat is the historic "Baleshwar Temple". Built by the rulers of the Chand dynasty, the Vallechewar Temple is a wonderful symbol of stone carving art. There is no historical manuscript dating back to the Baleswar Temple, but it is believed to have been built between the 10th and 12th centuries AD, dedicated to the gods of the Kumaon region. Golu Devta is worshiped by believers as a god of justice. The temple is located in the town of Champawat in the eponymous district of Uttarakhand. Many believers visit the temple and evoke God's blessings into their lives.
