Chopta


Chopta is a small area of ​​grasslands and evergreen forests that is part of the Kedarnath Game Reserve in Uttarakhand. Tangnas Temple is one of the highest places in Punchkedal at an altitude of 3860m. Trekking is well-marked and finally calm. The slope is steep and can be tiring. The temple is believed to be 1000 years old, and the cornerstone of the temple was built by Arjun of Mahabharat. Chandra Sila Trek is one of the main attractions in the Chopta Valley and is classified as a difficult trek. According to mythology, Sir Ram meditated on the summit of Chandrasila after killing Ravana. Chopta is considered the starting point for some trekking, but two major trekking remains, Tungnath Chandrashila and Deoria Tal.
