Guptakashi Gaurikund Sightseeing

Gaurikund Hot Springs is one of the most sacred places for Hindus to come and bathe here. It is believed that a person becomes clean by soaking in the holy water of a pond. Surrounded by panoramic views, Gauri Kund also serves as a starting point for trekking at the famous Kedarnath Temple. Located in the Vishwanath Temples, Manical Nick Kund is presided over by Shivaringa. Shivaringa bathes from two sources, Ganesha's head and cow's head. The Ardhanarishvara Temple on the left side of Vishwanath Temple is also dedicated to Lord Shiva. The idols presided over by the temple are actually half male and half female, representing the goddesses of Shiva and Parvati. Next to the charming idol is the swastika symbol. Guptakashi's Gauri Kund is famous for being the starting point and the last road before the beginning of Kedarnath Yatra. Located on the banks of the Mandakini River, Gaurikund is considered the gateway to spirituality and salvation. Located at an altitude of about 2,000 meters above sea level, Gauri Kund Temple and Lake Gauri are important landmarks famous for this place.
