Abbot Mount is one of the small summer resorts in Uttarakhand. This summer resort was discovered by an English businessman named John Harold Abbott. There are many colonial bungalows on Abbott Mount. Banasura was a Hindu mythical demon with a thousand arms. This fortress is named after the mythical demon Banasura. It is a medieval fortress and can be reached from Rohagat. The scenery of the Himalayas from Banasurka Kila is a beautiful sight. Lord Krishna is said to have defeated Banasura at this fort. The Abbott Mount Church was built in 1942 and is one of the colonial churches in Abbott Mount. The church is located in a dense forest and is a very old church where prayer is very rare. Mayawati Shram is one of the spiritual places of Abbott Mount. It was founded in 1899 by Swami Vivekananda. This ashram publishes many books and has a library and a museum. Tourists can also stay in this ashram to learn more about spirituality
