Fort Pithoragarh was built during King Chand's reign and was rebuilt in 1789 by Gurkha soldiers. The fort is on a hill outside Pithoragarh. The fort is now in ruins and most of the buildings are in ruins, but this place offers beautiful views of the surrounding valley.
