Srinagar Yusmarg
The scenic beauty of the place and the tranquility it must provide is simply overwhelming. This place is known for its lush meadows and some simple hiking trails. Yusmarg is one of the most beautiful and unusual places in Kashmir and is definitely worth a visit. At an altitude of 2396m (7861ft), Yasmarg is the perfect place to enjoy peace and tranquility. Interestingly, I learned a legend about the origin of the Yasmarg name. It is believed that Jesus Christ spent part of his life in India and passed through this place. "Yus" is an abbreviation for "Youza" or Jesus, and "marg" means meadow. Literally translated Yousmarg means "pasture of Christ". Yusmarg or Yousmarg is located in the Budgam district of Jammu & Kashmir, about 50 km from Srinagar. You can come here on a day trip from Srinagar (this is the most common way to visit Yousmarg). You can also stay at Yusmarg's. There are accommodation JKDTC bungalows and cabins in the middle of the vast meadows, usually no one but the caretaker. It's also perfect for those who enjoy loneliness and immerse themselves in the airy beauty of the valley.
