jirawala-parshwanth
The Jirawala Parshwanatha Temple at the foot of Mount Jairaj in the Jirawala region is an important part of Jainism. This place is also called Jirapalli, Jirikavalli, Jairajpalli, and Jiravalli in Jain inscriptions. Located in the Sirohi district of Rajasthan, and about 50 miles from Abu Road, this is a place to be visited by travelers en route to Mount Abu. The elaborate designs are believed to be from the 900-year-old temple. Not surprisingly, it has attracted both Jains and non-Jains for decades. This is the only temple in the world where one can find 108 different gods of King Parshwanatha, 23rd Jain Tirthankara. The Lord is also called ‘Dadaji’. The temple is often visited by local people before the start of the annual harvest season in order to pray for prosperity. Since 1134 AD, Jirawala was the ancient Jain temple of Parashwanath. It was a place where many Jain scholars, or saints, completed their spiritual duties. The distance from this shrine to Mount Abu is 58 kilometers. It is Peaceful, Calm, and Very Well Saved. Jirawala Temple is a must-visit. Completely equipped with a gorgeous, well-maintained infrastructure. The interior of the great temple is very quiet and complete and the buildings are well worth a look.
