kota

Kota, the third most populous city in Rajasthan, lies along the Chambal River, the only river in the state of Rajasthan. Locals and tourists visit the riverbank to watch crocodiles, and sea birds and regularly take boating. Kota is famous for its thriving IIT-JEE training culture and medical entry plans and every year more than four lakh students visit and live in the city. Not many cities are experiencing an influx of students every year and this has earned the city various names such as Education City of India and Coaching Capital of India. It is also considered to be the second most populous city in Rajasthan after Jaipur and has become an industrial center with many energy industries in and around the city. The solid, dark-colored Kota Kota stone called Kota also comes from the city and is sold nationwide through construction projects of all kinds. Kota also contributed to the richness of India's rich textiles with its trademark Kota Doriya (as Dora refers to a series) fabric known for its shiny yarn pattern, thus giving the fabric its name. In addition to the prosperous industrial environment, the city also offers historical highlights in the form of palaces and natural light in the form of a variety of gardens, the famous Chambal Udhyan.
