patna

Patna County is one of the thirty-eight provinces of Bihar district in eastern India. Patna, the capital of Bihar, is the regional capital. Thriving on the southern bank of the Ganges River and in the backyard of its glorious past, Patna prides itself on being one of the most historic cities in the world and enjoying its diversity as one of the world's oldest cities. In addition to being one of the largest and most popular tourist destinations in India, the capital of Bihar also has important religious and spiritual significance as it is a gateway to Hindu, Sikh, Jain, and Buddhist monasteries. One of the oldest human settlements in the world is a town in the northwest of India - to the west of the city is Bankipur, and to the southwest is a new area with wide streets and muddy buildings. Bihar cultural treasures are reflected in the many monuments kept at Patna, the famous Patna Sahib Gurudwara, Patna Planetarium, Highcourt, Golghar, Secretariat Building, and Padri ki Haveli among many other attractions. Common in the Indian city, the town by the river Patna is also known for delicious dishes - litti chokha is the king of everything!
