Nubra Valley

You'll need to visit the Nubra Valley for its incredible natural beauty and attractions, including the Diskit Monastery, Turtok Panamik Village, Yarab Tso, and Hunder Village, famous for its cold highland desert and two-humped Bactrian camels. You can also enjoy mountain biking, motorbikes, and Baltic cuisine. The Discit Monastery is a major tourist attraction in the Nubra Valley, not only for its excellent location but also for its 106-foot-high Maitreya Buddha statue just below the monastery. The Nubra Valley Discit Monastery is located at an altitude of 10,308 feet, 15 km northwest of the Calzer-Panakir route, on the edge of the Nubra Valley desert. It stands on a hill at the end of the road leading to Partalpur. The Nubra Valley in Ladakh has so many surprises for visitors. Such a surprise awaits you in the Hander dunes, about 10 kilometers from the village of Discit. When the word desert comes to mind, people usually think of brown sand and a camel, but in Hander another picture awaits you.
