The Navamakha Palace, also known as the Rajnagar Palace, is a Brahmin royal palace in Rajnagar, near Madhubani in Bihar, India. Located in Rajnagar on the east bank of the Kamla River, near Madhubani district in Bihar, Nahamakha Palace, also known as Rajnagar Palace, is an ancient royal palace that is a famous heritage site in the region. Built by Maharaja Rameshwar Singh, the palace was once proud of its well-watered gardens, rolling ponds, temple buildings, and so on. However, he suffered heavy casualties in 1934 when an earthquake struck. It has never been repaired and is currently in ruins. However, even then, it prides itself on the beauty of the old country and its magnificent buildings and is still visited by tourists and locals regularly. 9km away from Madhubani a village called Kapileshwar Sthan, the village is known for having a Kapileshwar temple dedicated to King Shiva. On the road from Madhubani to Jaynagar, Saurath is a small roadside town, known for its famous Somnath Mahadev temple. The 260-year-old palace was built by Maharaja Rameshwar Singh and is an example of ancient architecture and engineering. What makes this historic museum a beautiful building is, the well-maintained rooms, intricate carpentry work, and the fact that it is home to an ancient Mallic painting.
