kaza

Kaza, nestled in the corner of Himachal Pradesh, is a tranquil setting on the Spiti River plain. Kaza is a dreamy landscape, dotted with huge snowcapped mountains, rolling rivers and streams, and picturesque desert landscapes with lush vegetation. It is divided into two parts: the old Kaza and the new, each with its own government offices and a royal palace respectively. Monks, Gompas, and other historical monuments add beauty to this already magical city. Today, this city is a wonderful combination of modern and unique ancient culture that will leave you bewitched by its mystery. Winter is the worst weather in Kaza and with the heavy snow, the first entrances to the city - Kunzum Pass and Rohtang Pass - have both closed since late October. Kaza can be reached from Kinnaur Valley and Lahaul Valley. Although the Kinnaur Valley route remains open all year round, the Lahaul Valley route remains open only in the summer as the Kunzam Pass closes during the winter. The best time to visit Kaza is summertime. The temperature is always cool and comfortable and it is ideal for viewing the area. The best months to visit are May, June, July, August and October. The summer of Kaza is wonderful.
