Prakasam District, Andhra Pradesh

History:
Prakasam district was named in commemoration of the prominent free fighter, later Prime Minister of Madras Complex, and the late Sritangturi "Prakasam Pantur", "Andhra Pradesh", the first Prime Minister of Andhra Pradesh. The village of Canaparti in Nagruppara Padumandal, which lived in Vinodara Unipalem, was born. The Prakasam district was originally formed on February 2, 1970, from the Guntur, Nerol, and Kurnool districts of Andhra Pradesh. The Prakasam district was named in honor of the prominent Freedom Fighter, who later became Prime Minister of the Complex State of Madras State and the first Prime Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
