Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh

History:
The capital of the Vizianagaram district in the northeast of Andhra Pradesh in southern India. The Vizianagaram district was formed on June 1, 1979, and was partially carved from the adjacent Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam districts. It is currently the most populous municipality in Andhra Pradesh. It is about 18 km inland from the Bay of Bengal and 52 km northeast of Visakhapatnam. Inhabited by energetic Rajas, passionate poets, and writers, this country is not a ubiquitous stone. In effect, it is a rare diamond.
