Chamba is a Himalayan city located in the Chamba region of Himachal Pradesh. Known for its ancient temples, caves, and buildings that speak well of Indian history, Chamba is famous for its spectacular view of Pir Panjal, Zanskar, and Dhauladhar distance behind the village of photo cards. The Himalayan village is located at an altitude of 99 feet [996 m] along the Ravi River, surrounded by Jammu and Kashmir, Lahaul, and Kangra. Chamba is famous for its traditional handicrafts and crafts and small paintings of Pahari - a form of Indian painting that originated in the Himalayan foothills of northern India during the 17th to 19th centuries. It is also a basic hiking camp in the great Himalayas.
