kufri
Kufri, located about 12 miles [20 km] from the main town of Shimla, is a popular tourist destination known for its ski resort, Kufri Zoo, and as the first tourist destination. Founded by the British in 1819, Kufri became an important tourist destination a few years ago. The main tourist attraction of Kufri is located at the top of Mahasu at an altitude of 2,720 meters above sea level and travelers have to climb or ride a pony from the parking lot to reach Kufri. Mahasu Peak and Fagu Valley are the main attractions in Kufri but are accessible by pony rides. Once you get to the top after climbing the pony, you may want to enjoy your time playing in the snow or by clicking on the pictures. There are a few photo booths and the view is steep. You can also enjoy go-karting in Kufri Fun World, which has the highest Go-Karting track in the world. You can return to the park by pony and head to Indira Tourist Park in the afternoon after lunch. Or you can head to the Kufri Zoo from there. Kufri and Chail are usually covered by many tourists visiting Shimla and are covered with many Shimla packages. Other places near Kufri and Shimla are Narkanda, Mashobra, Tattapani, and Naldehra.
