Bhrigu Lake is the highest lake in the Kullu region, about 25 miles [40 km] from Manali. The route to the lake passes through the inland rivers which are also called Brigu Lake Meadows. Many tourists do not know much about the beautiful meadows of the highlands, such as Switzerland. As you walk along the grassy slopes of the Himalayan foothills, they will surely feel that you have entered a completely different world. For those who are always looking for places to escape city life, traffic, and pollution, Brigu Lake is their place. It takes about 6 hours to reach the delightful Bhrigu Lake from Gulaba Village. The name Bhrigu is derived from the name of Maharishi Bhrigu. A major feature of this lake is that it does not collapse completely in winter. According to legend, the lake was never completely frozen because Maharishi Bhrigu meditated near it. Travelers can set up camp near Bhrigu Lake and spend some leisure time with friends and family while taking a trip to the lake. During most of the tourist season, the region has a clear blue sky during the day. The cool warmth of the sun during a sunny day makes the trip enjoyable. The night sky is a special gift for campers and night watchers.
