The Pangi Valley in the Chamba region is a quiet, peaceful place inhabited by only 17,600 ethnic groups in Himachal Pradesh at an altitude of 7,000 to 6,000 meters above sea level. The valley is surrounded by high white mountain peaks and rugged roads making it ideal for adventure and leisure activities. Saach Pass, which is 14500 ft., Helps the village with tourism and easy access as it provides convenient roads for those who want to travel there. It is open during June and October as it snows heavily in all other months. With the recent development of roads, local people have been able to cultivate and grow crops such as peas and apples. The inhabitants of this valley include the Pangwala and Boti tribes, some of whom are Hindus and Buddhists. Killar, a hamlet found in the small valley of the Chenab River, which is the headquarters of the Pangi subdivision; Dharwas the largest village in the valley; Shour, a moving bridge over a freezing cold river; Mindhal Basan Devi Temple, a magnificent temple dedicated to the god Mindhal Devi, among many others.
