About Lower Subansiri
History:
The district was established in 1987 when the Subansiri district was divided into upper and lower Subansiri districts. The Lower Savant Siri district has a long ancient history associated with the Kingdom . It was probably under the control of the chief of for a long time and was under the control of Bilpal in the 12th century. In 1999, the Papampea district was split to form a new district, and on April 1, 2001, the Krungkmai district was established. In October 2017, the state government approved the creation of the Kamle district, including spin-offs of the Raga, Dolungmukh, and Kumpurijio districts from the Lower Subansiri district.
