History:
Pakke Kessang is a district of Arunachal Pradesh. The district is located in the Piheran, Passo Tal, Pak Cukessan, Dishing Passo and Seyehossa districts. The district headquarters of Pak Kukessan is located in Remi. Pak Kukessan is located in the southern part of the country. It is adjacent to West Kamen in the west and East Kamen in the northwest. The district used to be part of the neighboring district, East Kameng, and is made up of its five southernmost units.
Famous for?
Pakke Kessang is home to three different tribes in Arunachal Pradesh: the Nyishi, the Garo and the Ploy. The area is home to the famous Package Tigers Reserve, India's only hornbill sanctuary, and the ancient ruins of Naksha Palbat.
