History:

Shi Yomi district is one of 23 districts in Arunachal Pradesh, northeastern India. On December 9, 2018, when the northern region along the border with China was transformed into the newly created ShiYomi district, the West Cyan district was divided to create the ShiYomi district. The rest of the southern region remains the partially blocked West Siang district. The head office is in Tato. It used to be part of the West Cyan district. The languages spoken in the ShiYomi district are Adi, Bokar, Ribo, Lamo, Taguin, and Dakpa.
