About North East Delhi

History:

District North East Delhi is one of the 11 districts of NCT in Delhi that has existed since September 2012. The district was founded in 1997. Northeastern Delhi is adjacent to the Yamuna River to the west, the Gaziabad district to the north and east, East Delhi to the south, and North Delhi across the Yamuna River to the west. Karawal Nagar, Seelampur and Yamuna Vihar are the three subdivisions of the district.
