History:
Central Delhi contains an interesting combination of Sultanate, Mughal, and colonial architecture. Includes two of Delhi's ancient citadels, Feroz Shah Kotla and Saha Janabad. Ferozabad was built in 1354 by Feroz Shah Tughlaq. Built by the fourth Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, Shah Jahan Bird consisted of a red fort (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and a walled city centered around Jama Masjid. Central Delhi is centered around Chadney Chalk, a paradise for street food lovers. The area is home to several Sultan gates, hunting lodges and step wells.
