Lawngtlai District, Aizawl

History:

 Lawngtlai District is one of 11 districts in Mizoram, India. The Lawngtlai district was incorporated on November 11, 1998. Previously, the Lawngtlai and Saiha districts were collectively referred to as the Chimtuipui district, where Siaha was the district headquarters. According to Government Notice No. A600 11/21/95GAD in Aizawl, November 11, 1998, these two districts, namely Lawngtlai and Saiha District were born. The Lawngtlai district covers an area of ​​2258 km². And there are two autonomous region councils.Rye Autonomous Region Council & Chakuma Autonomous Region Council.
