History:
District Saitual is one of 11 districts in Mizoram, India. The Saitual District went live on June 3, 2019. The district is named after its headquarters, Saitoual. The Saitual District's claim began in 1974. The Citizens' Committee was established in 1993. The Saitual District Implementation Demands Committee consisted of several civil society groups demonstrating to demand a full-fledged district. The Saitual District was finally formed on September 12, 2008.
