History:
Siaha District is one of eight districts in Mizoram, India. The Siaha district was formerly part of the Chimtuipui district. When the Chimtuipui district was split in half in 1998, the half that became the Saiha district was temporarily given the old name of the Chimtuipui district. Siaha) is a census town in the Siaha district of Mizoram, northeastern India. It was a place where a lot of ivory was found. Locals call the town Siaha, but Misos calls it "Saiha". This is a Mizo translation term.
