History:
Tuensang is a town in the northeastern part of the Indian state of Nagaland. The Tuensang area was originally made up of all the six districts of East Nagaland. Even after the British conquest of India, the Tuensang region remained uninhabited due to a shortage of men and money. However, in 1902, the area came under British control. It was called the Tribal Area and was headed by the Governor-General of India. In 1948, a separate unit called the Tuensang Administrative Circle was established.
