About Nadia
History:
Nadia was founded in 1787. The current state of Nadia after the division was formed Notice No.545-GA dated 23 February, 1948. The province of Nadia is bounded north and northwest by the district of Murshidabad. South-east and east bound by the Republic of Bangladesh. The shape of the region is unusual, lying north to south. The region is approximately 46ft. above sea level and the tropical cancer divide the region into two parts.
