About Impahl West
History:
The Imphal West Region was created in 1997 from the old Imphal region by transferring all the towns and villages of Imphal West I and sub-divisions of Imphal West II in accordance with Government of Manipur (Secretariate) Revenue Department Order No. 6/1/73-R (Pt-VIII) dated 17 June 1997 under the Manipur Land Revenue and Land Reforms Act of 1960. With the creation of this region the Imphal West I Sub-Division was also divided into Lamshang Sub-Division and Patsoi Sub-Division while Imphal. The West II Sub-Division was split in two into the Lamphelpat Sub-Division.
