Noney, also known as Longmai, is a town located in the western part of Manipur, India. 63 kilometers (39 mi) west of Imphal, the capital of Manipur province. The population is probably composed of the Rongmei Naga. Formerly known as the village, it was recently announced as one of the headquarters of the new Manipur district and separated from the existing Tamenglong district Although the area is often known as "Noney" the country's leaders prefer the term "Longmai".
