History:
The city of Alwar is said to have been founded by Mahara Jaisin in Amel. The city was named Alwar, changed over time, and eventually settled as Alwar. Later, the city was initially governed by Mahara Jakakir. After Aurangzeb's death, internal disagreements brought the petite chief into power. Maharaja Slajurumal in Bharatpur conquered Fort Alwar. However, his son Javahar Singh lost the territory acquired by his father after being defeated by the ruler of Jaipur in the Battle of Maon Damandri. In 1775, Pratap Singh of the Naruka family acquired Fort Alwar and established the state of Alwar.
