About Jodhpur

History:

The city was founded in 1459 by Rajput's Lao Joda and served as the capital of the princely state of Jodhpur. The princely state was founded around 1212 and reached the pinnacle of power under the ruler Laomaldeo (1532-69), devoting himself to the Mughal Empire after the invasion of the Mughal Empire's Akbar Empire in 1561. In 1818 Jodhpur was placed under British sovereignty. It was the largest princely state of the Rajputana Agency. It became part of Rajasthan in 1949
