History:
Hanumangarh, also known as Sadurgar, a city in northwestern India and northern Rajasthan. It is located on the right bank of the Gagar River, about 30 miles (48 km) southeast of Ganganagar. Formerly known as Batner ("Fortress of Batner Rajput"), it became Hanumangarh when it was annexed to Prince Bikaner in 1805. The city with the fortress was conquered in 1398 by the Mongolian conqueror Timur (Tamerlane). As a result, he changed hands several times. Hanumangarh is connected by rail to Ganganagar and Bikaner and Jodhpur in the south.
