History:

The Bokaro district was created on April 1, 1991 with the release of the Chas and Chandankiyari C.D.Blocks of the Dhanbad region and the rest of Bermo. Bokaro District is bordered to the east by Dhanbad District and part of West Bengal Province, to the west by Ramgarh District. The region is located at an altitude of 200-546 meters. from the normal level of the sea. In fact, not all information is available in the Bokaro region alone. The Dhanbad region was created on 24.10.1956 on the recommendation of the New Constitutional Commission.
