About Ranchi District


History:

Ranchi District is one of the 24 districts of Jharkhand District in East India. After India gained independence, the Ranchi region was incorporated into Bihar province. Lohardaga County was created from part of Ranchi district in 1983. However, after the formation of Jharkhand district on November 15, 2000, the region became the first newly formed state. Later, Khunti district was recorded in Ranchi district on 12 September 2007
