History:

Badradri Kothagudem District is a district in the eastern part of the Indian state of Telangana. The city of Kothagudem is the regional capital. It was part of the great Zamindari heritage known as Husanabad Shankaragiri or Palvancha Zamindari in the Nizam Kingdom. The name of the estate was given to Captain Glasfurd. Zamindar of Badrachalam was also Zamindar of Palvancha.
