History:
Kamareddy is the city and capital of the eponymous region of Telangana province in India. The region got its name from Kamareddy to the governor of Domakonda Fort Chinna Kamireddy, who ruled the area from AD 1600 to 1640. The ancient name of this place is KODURU. The city is located in the area where Kishtamma Gudi is now located. In the area of Harijanwada there was a temple called Koduru Hanmandala Gudi. This temple is the oldest in the history of Kamareddy.
