History:
Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District is a district in the Indian state of Telangana. Administrative headquarters are located in Bongir. It was part of the Nalgonda district before the regional reorganization. The Bhuvanagiri region is associated with its fortress built on a single rock. It is believed that the western emperor of Chalukya Tribuvanamalla Vikramadithya - VI found a fortress in the area named after him Tribhuvanagiri. The name later became Bhuvanagiri and Bhongir.
