The regional capital is Botad which is 92 km from Bhavnagar and 133 km from Ahmedabad by road. The Botad region is surrounded by the northeastern Surndranagar District, the Rajkot counties in the west, the Bhavnagar and Amareli counties in the south and the Ahmedabad District in the East.
